OTHER
MEN'S INITIATIVES
Many
other initiatives to end men's silence about domestic abuse have started
in Massachusetts during the past few years.
We are part of a recently created statewide network to encourage more
such efforts and to make information sharing easy. It is called MIJD,
the Men's Initiative for Jane Doe, Inc. (Jane Doe is the Massachusetts
coalition of battered women's agencies, rape crisis centers and other
agencies doing related work.)
Craig Norberg-Bohm, who created the Raven program for batterer treatment
in St. Louis and has been working on related issues for many years, now
serves as the part-time coordinator of MIJD. He is also Chairman of the
Board of EMERGE, one of the nation's leading batterer intervention training
